As CEO of RIVR Media, Dee Bagwell Haslam has certainly lived up to the family name. And there are dozens of Emmy-award winning shows on cable to prove it.

"RIVR Media has just a wonderful group of creative, fun people and it just makes waking up everyday and coming to work a great thing to do."

Dee got her first taste of television at a very young age.

It's Football Time in Tennessee!

 

It's the day Vol fans have been waiting for, the start of the 2012 football season.    

It's been a long offseason for the team having to dwell on a loss to Kentucky for the last eight months.

But today the Vols open up the season against NC State.

The arrived in Atlanta yesterday afternoon.

This is the first time in 73 years that the team has played a regular season game on a Friday.

The Vols will take on the Wolfpack tonight at the Georgia Dome at 7:30 p.m.

The game will be aired on ESPU-U.

Knoxville broadcasting community mourns loss of longtime ad man

The Knoxville broadcasting community is mourning the loss of one of its own.

Dick Sterchi, senior account executive with WNOX, died at his home Friday night, according to a release from the radio station.
