Update: Friday 4:45 p.m.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office arrested another man in the death of a Halls man who was stabbed to death.

KCSO arrested Ramacandra Hansen, 20, Friday at 8:45 a.m. He had been wanted on an outstanding warrant for violating parole.County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man named as a person of interest in the death of Ronald D. Echols, 62, of Halls.

Hansen has a criminal history in Knox County that includes theft and burglary. He is being held without bond, but has not been charged as of Friday afternoon.

Echols was found stabbed at his apartment Wednesday morning and later died at the hospital.

Officers arrested an unidentified male minor Thursday and charged him with second degree murder.

Update: Thursday 8:20 p.m.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged a minor in the stabbing death of a Knox County man.

KCSO said officers took the unidentified male minor into custody Thursday at 4 p.m.

He is charged with second degree murder in the death of Ronald D. Echols, 62, of Halls.

Update Wednesday 9:30 p.m.
A man stabbed early Wednesday morning in his northeast Knox County apartment has died, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened at the Black Oak Apartments on Oak Valley Drive off Maynardville Highway shortly after 6 a.m.

KCSO said officers found Ronald D. Echols, 62, had been stabbed in his apartment. He was taken to UT Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
