(WBIR) An East Tennessee food truck turned into a fine dining experience Thursday evening as part of a fundraising dinner to support local farmers.

Knoxville residents had a chance to eat some of the Tootsie Truck's finest cuisine at New Harvest Park.It was all part of the Certified Naturally Grown 'Back to the Roots Restaurant week'.

All money raised helped fund the CNG, a non-profit group offering certification for small-scale farmers using natural methods. The truck's owner said it's an important cause.

"Quite a few of our local farmers participate in the peer-review program, it's got the same standards as organic but it's a more viable and affordable option for farmers in our area," Rebecca Saldivar, owner of Tootsie Truck, said.

She estimated that between 40 and 60 people came out for the fundraiser.
